Frequently Asked Questions

Can a parent sit in on the session?

FAQ Home

For the reasons outlined in “How can parents help with tutoring?” above, parents are not permitted to sit in on tutoring sessions with their children, either at the learning center or in the student’s home, and even for the first session.

Having a parent present in a session is distracting and counterproductive. Students become self-conscious and aware of wanting to perform or impress their parents and the process of bonding between the student and instructor is unnecessarily deferred.

If a parent has concerns about anything related to the tutoring process or what to expect, please contact one of our directors at Next Level and they will address any questions.
