TACHS Introduction

For almost two decades, Next Level Learning has been the foremost authority in New York City for Catholic High School admissions and one of the only learning centers in the region that offers comprehensive TACHS test preparation.

The TACHS (Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools) is used exclusively by Catholic high schools in the Diocese of Brooklyn/Queens and the Archdiocese of New York. Alternatively, some Catholic high schools use the HSPT (High School Placement Test) to select candidates entering 9th grade. If you intend to apply for admission to a Catholic high school in New York City, it is important to refer to each school’s website to determine which test to take and when and where to do so. The TACHS is administered every November at Catholic schools across the city and the HSPT is frequently administered to 8th graders at the school to which they are applying. Test dates for the HSPT vary.

Next Level’s expert TACHS instructors know the material that will appear on both the TACHS and HSPT exams, and our personalized, one-on-one TACHS tutoring program will help students achieve their greatest potential. Contact Next Level Learning about our proven TACHS and HSPT test prep so your child can maximize the chances of attending the Catholic high school of his or her choice.
