"Nothing thrills me more than seeing one of our students light up when
they understand a concept or a problem that wasn't making sense."

Letter from Our Director

Dear Parent,

Thank you for considering Next Level Learning Center as a tutoring resource for your family.

In my role as Director, I speak with parents every day and I know how concerned you are about your child's academic success in today's competitive environment. The current obsession with education reform, standardized testing, academic achievement, and an increasingly selective admissions process puts undue pressure on kids.

As a result, addressing student anxiety is one of the most important responsibilities we have at Next Level Learning. When students feel stressed, they have difficulty processing new information or focusing on schoolwork and performance inevitably suffers. Our commitment to one-on-one tutoring and personalized test preparation helps alleviate anxiety and reduce stress.

Many studies have shown that one-on-one tutoring is the most effective form of academic instruction because sessions can be tailored to fit each student's individual needs. The caring relationship that forms between tutor and student builds trust, engenders confidence, and reduces tension associated with school. Students relax, become engaged, and have fun learning, which results in real progress.

At Next Level Learning we have relationships with many of New York's finest private and public schools, and we know their curriculum — a significant advantage to our students and their families. We're not an impersonal national chain either. We are longtime residents of Manhattan and our students and their families are also our friends and neighbors.

Whether your child is seeking to work on fundamentals, maintain good grades, or has an important test approaching, I invite you to consider Next Level Learning. You can count on us to provide the best tutoring support possible.

Warm regards,
Val Fitzhugh
Executive Director
